ORANGE GOBLIN: Video Premiere Courtesy Of Metal Injection

Today Metal Injection, in cooperation with Scion A/V, unleashes Orange Goblin’s mammoth “Acid Trial” video. The track comes off the band’s A Eulogy For The Damned full-length released via Candlelight Records earlier this year. “Acid Trial” was directed by Tom J. Cronin offers up four-and-a-half minutes of psychedelic live footage, sharp visuals, hot ladies and general ass kickery.

Take at peep at THIS LOCATION.

A Eulogy For The Damned is Orange Goblin’s seventh studio album and first under the Candlelight Records banner. The offering continues to reap praise for its pure, sonic awesomeness from fans and critics nationally. Popdose called it “…pretty damn fantastic. Rockin’, riff-tastic and possibly the best record from start to finish that they’ve released yet.” Blistering crowned it “…a total pure-bred metal album,” adding that, “there’s not a trace of fluff or even a sideways idea to be found, which makes its execution all the more impressive,” while Decibel proclaimed: “Long-haired limeys, maximum riffage and turbo doom. Biker rock. From England. And it’s pretty awesome.” Metal Underground agreed: “With a sound that splits the difference between Sabbath and Motörhead, Orange Goblin serves up a potent dose of ’70s-style metal on A Eulogy For The Damned. Gloomy doom and punk power have seldom sounded so good together,”while About.com added: “Orange Goblin’s A Eulogy For The Damned… is a lesson for the lesser ones. This is how to make a solid heavy metal album. It’s how the Chimera roars when it wants everyone to hear.”

IHSAHN: Album Streaming In Its Entirety Via AOL Music!

Today and throughout the week AOL Music will be streaming Eremita, the latest full-length from former Emperor mastermind Ihsahn, in its entirety! Scheduled to drop tomorrow via Candlelight Records, the nine-track masterwork was recorded and produced at Telemark’s Ivory Shoulder Studios, with additional tracking completed at Notodden’s Juke Joint Studio and Seattle’s Envisage Audio, and mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth) at Fascination Street Studios in Orebo, Sweden. In an 8/10 review Decibel assures: “…those into prime prog metal, here’s one of your favorite albums of 2012,” and Guitar World notes: “… Ihsahn proves yet again that he is one of the most influential, progressive and enduring musicians to emerge out of the classic Norwegian black metal scene.” MetalSucks: shares the sentiment proclaiming: “Ihsahn just keeps getting better and better with every album he releases. He’s really come into his own as one of the most talented musicians and songwriters in all of metal, and his distinct, singular sound has come a long way from his days in Emperor,” while About.com boasts in a 4.5/5 review: “…one of the musical highlights of this year.”

Today, and throughout the week, AOL Music will stream The Industrialist, the forthcoming new full-length from legendary futuristic metal sorcerers Fear Factory. Slated for North American release June 5, The Industrialist is the second album written by vocalist Burton C. Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares since reuniting in 2009 after a seven-year split. The record again pairs Fear Factory with producer Rhys Fulber and was mixed by Greg Reely (Paradise Lost/Skinny Puppy/Machine Head), with additional tracking by Logan Mader (Gojira/Divine Heresy).
